Scores 14 versus UConn Wright logged 14 points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-9 FT), two rebounds, one assist and two steals over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 92-60 loss to UConn.

Impact Wright scored 14 points in Tuesday's blowout loss, his most in a game since Dec. 1. He had scored eight or fewer points in 11 consecutive conference contests as he was simply not involved in the offense enough to break that streak. Given his general lack of involvement, there's a good chance this performance was an outlier thanks to his nine free throw attempts.

Quiet again Wednesday Wright ended Wednesday's 89-75 win over Butler with five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 18 minutes.

Impact Wright made his second consecutive start Wednesday, but he once again struggled to have an impact. He scored five points, his most since Dec. 12, which sums up just how unimpactful he's been over the last month. Even though he's consistently in the starting lineup over Roddie Anderson, Anderson is logging more minutes and is making much more of an impact than Wright.

Excellent in second start Wright posted 20 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and four steals over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 99-69 victory over Old Dominion.

Impact Wright returned to the starting five Tuesday and marked the occasion with his best performance of the season. He was one of four Musketeers to score exactly 20 points and he also set season highs in assists (four) and steals (four). He was very efficient in his scoring too, hitting four of his five three-pointers and over 70 percent from the field. It's unclear if he'll keep his place in the starting five as the season progresses, but he's established a large role in the rotation regardless.

Moving to bench Monday Wright is not in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Santa Clara, Shelby Dermer of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Impact Wright will move to the bench due to the presence of Roddie Anderson in the first unit. Wright is averaging 10.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game this season.

Impact Wright clearly impressed his coaching staff in Monday's season opener as he is now part of the starting lineup, replacing Roddie Anderson. He hit four of his five 3-point attempts and scored 14 points in the opener, a performance he will look to build on in Thursday's matchup.

Impact Although Wright did not start Monday's season opener, he still logged 27 minutes and was one of three Musketeers to score at least 14 points. He hit four of his five 3-point attempts, an excellent start for a player who shot 38.3 percent from beyond the arc last season with Valpo. Even if he doesn't start, Wright appears set to be an important piece of Xavier's rotation as he's likely the team's best and most consistent shooter.

Heading to Xavier Wright has committed to play for Xavier for the 2025-26 season, per Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com.

Impact Wright will join the Musketeers following a single season with Valparaiso. The 6-foot-3 freshman was a star for the Beacons this past season, averaging 15.4 points per game and was named Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year. Wright will retain three years of eligibility with Xavier moving forward.
