Doesn't see any action Saturday O'Connell did not play in Saturday's 74-66 win over UConn after reports surfaced before the game that he was dealing with an ankle issue.

Impact It's unclear when exactly O'Connell sustained his ankle injury as it was reported for the first time just minutes before Saturday's tip. The Duke transfer has averaged 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in eight games since being granted immediate eligibility to play back in December. The severity of his ankle injury is still unknown which leaves his status for Wednesday's game against Seton Hall up in the air.

Impact It's unclear if O'Connell's ankle injury could prevent him from taking the floor altogether, but he's one of two Creighton bench contributors dealing with ankle issues. If one or both can't play, the bench could be shortened Friday, allowing more run to the starting five.

Impact O'Connell has yet to start a game and had not produced much leading up to the win Saturday. However, the guard put together a strong showing with the second-highest points for the Bluejays and did it all off the bench. He also dominated the paint with six grabs and threw a few assists in there. Aforementioned, he has not produced like this prior to the matchup with the Red Storm, but will be more viable if he can continue this newly found form.
