Impact Karaban was taken to a hospital for a head injury after the final game of the Maui Invitational on Wednesday, so his absence here isn't all that surprising. The junior forward doesn't have a clear timetable for his return, and in the meantime, Jayden Ross and Jaylin Stewart are options to replace him in the starting lineup.

Impact Karaban's head hit the floor after he was fouled with about two and a half minutes left in the game. He stayed in for the remainder of the game but was eventually placed in the concussion protocol and sent to the hospital for more tests. Karaban received clearance to fly home with the team Thursday and more on his status is expected to come before the team's game versus Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday. Despite the loss, Karaban finished with a game-high 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and an assist in 37 minutes.
