Impact The senior transfer from Texas A&M has established himself as the go-to option for a rebuilding Terps program, as he's leading the team in scoring (20.0 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg) through three contests. He recorded a double-double in a loss to Georgetown last Friday and has 20-plus points in both matchups against mid-major opponents. Payne and the Terps get another resume-building opportunity this Saturday on the road against Marquette.

Darius Adams - Efficiency remains poor Adams produced 10 points (3-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 84-64 victory over Alcorn State.
Impact Adams has a 16-point outing and a 10-point outing for Maryland this season, but his efficiency has left something to be desired -- he's shooting just 26.9 percent from the field through three games. Growing pains are expected for the true freshman, but he'll need to work on his shot selection.

Andre Mills - Big day in win Mills accumulated 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Tuesday's 84-64 victory over Alcorn State.
Impact Mills only attempted three shots in the Terps' loss to Georgetown, but the guard was once again very assertive as Maryland rolled past Alcorn State on Tuesday night. Mills appears to be at his best when he has free reign to take his shots, but the freshman guard also added eight boards in an encouraging showing on the glass. There will be growing pains with Mills, but he looks primed to be a big contributor all season.

Myles Rice - Out vs. Alcorn State Rice (ankle) is out against Alcorn State on Tuesday night, per Harrison Rich of The Diamondback.
Impact Rice has been nursing a knee injury, but was able to suit up for the Terps' Nov. 7 loss to Georgetown after sitting out the opener. Now, however, he's set to miss another game. This should mean more minutes for Guillermo Del Pino and Isaiah Watts' in the Terps' backcourt.
