Could miss rest of season
Coach Chris Mack told Matt McGavic of Sports Illustrated that Igiehon may not be available for the remainder of the 2020-21 season.
Impact
Igiehon has not suited up for Louisville since Dec. 19, as he's dealt with shoulder and groin injuries before recently coming down with a non-COVID-related illness. The report makes it seem unlikely that the sophomore center will be an option Wednesday against Virginia Tech while also casting doubt on his rest-of-season status. Post depth could be a big issue for the Cardinals if they can secure a NCAA Tournament bid, as it was reported Monday that Malik Williams is also likely out for the season after re-injuring his foot. That leaves a pair of freshman in Jae'Lyn Witehrs and Gabe Wiznitzer left to man the center position, with small-ball lineups also a likely result.

Won't play Saturday
Igiehon (illness) remains unavailable for Saturday's game against Duke, Shannon Russell of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Igiehon hasn't played since Dec. 19 and remains without a specific return date at this point. Even when he's cleared, the sophomore shouldn't play more than a handful of minutes off the bench each game.

Out again Tuesday
Igiehon (illness) remains unavailable for Tuesday's game against Notre Dame, Matt McGavic of Sports Illustrated reports.
Impact
Igiehon hasn't appeared in a game since Dec. 19 and remains without a specific date for his return. However, an illness is the culprit behind his current unavailability, so his return to the floor may not be too far into the future.

Out Saturday
Igiehon won't play Saturday due to a non-COVID illness, Shannon Russell of the Louisville Courier Journal reports.
Impact
Igiehon is dealing with an illness not related to COVID-19 that will hold him out Saturday. He's yet to play since Dec. 19, as he was previously dealing with a groin injury as well. The sophomore will turn his attention to Tuesday's game against Notre Dame for a potential return. Igiehon's absence will continue to leave Jae'Lyn Withers with plenty of minutes at center.

Misses practice, Saturday status TBD
Ighiehon (illness) did not practice Friday and his status for Saturday's game against North Carolina remains unclear, Jody Demling of 247Sports reports. He's been sidelined recentl...
Impact
Ighiehon returned to practice last week but was believed to potentially have suffered a setback recently. Head coach Chris Mack's explanation seems to contradict that notion and could leave a return on the table for him Saturday. More information on his status should arrive on game day.

Possible setback
Igiehon (groin) will not be available Wednesday against Syracuse due to a "small setback," Shannon Russell of The Athletic reports.
Impact
The 6-10 sophomore center has been sidelined since late-December due to a multitude of injuries, and while an announced return to practice eight days ago initially seemed like a positive sign, it doesn't appear Igiehon is closer to having a firm return date. The Cardinals did get some good news this week with a report that fellow center Malik Williams was returning to practice on a limited basis, though he doesn't have a set return date yet either. Until then, Jae'Lyn Withers and Gabe Wiznitzer should be in line for most of the post work.

Returning to practice this week
Igiehon (groin) will return to practice this week, Shannon Russell of The Athletic reports.
Impact
The sophomore has missed the past 10 games spanning all the way back to Dec. 22 with a groin injury. However, it appears that Igiehon is close to returning to the court, as he is expected to participate in practice starting this week.

To miss a few more weeks
Igiehon (groin) will miss a few more weeks to rehab his groin injury, Shannon Russell of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Igiehon has been out the last couple weeks with a groin injury. It sounds like it is more serious that initially though and the team will give the forward a few weeks off to try to get it fully healed. Igiehon is likely looking at a February return.

Won't play Wednesday
Igiehon won't be available for Wednesday's clash with Virginia Tech due to a groin injury, Shannon Russell of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Igiehon hasn't taken the floor in any of the last three games and will apparently not take the floor again Wednesday. The big man has averaged just over eight minutes of action in his five appearances this season and should resume duties as bench depth when cleared to return.

No more shoulder troubles
Igiehon (shoulder) had five points an five rebounds across eight minutes in Wednesday's victory over Evansville.
Impact
Igiehon was limited by shoulder troubles near the end of last season, but the stage is set for the 6-10 center to take on a bigger role in 2020-21. While it was Jae'Lyn Withers who ended up as the extra starter with Malik Williams (foot) out, Igiehon appears set to benefit as well.
