Impact Wooley continues to pick up starts with Mikel Brown (foot) missing his fifth consecutive game Tuesday. Over those five starts, Wooley's production has been hit-or-miss. His ancillary stats haven't been affected much, but he's averaging 12.0 ppg (compared to 8.4 ppg in the 10 games before the Brown injury). Brown is hopeful for a return soon, at which point Wooley will go back to a secondary scoring option. The next chance for that to happen will be Friday against Boston College.

Impact In a strange occurrence, the Cardinals looked overmatched in this 21-point loss to the Vols. Wooley was one of the few players who stood out for Louisville and was one of the two who scored in double digits, with Ryan Conwell (22 points) being the other. Wooley was making his first start of the season Tuesday and this was the fourth time he scored in double digits in the current campaign.

Looking like sixth man Wooley has came off the bench for a combined 44 minutes in two exhibition games for Louisville, leading the reserves in both contests and racking up 11 combined points.

Impact One of Louisville's biggest question marks before the season would be how Wooley's 18.8 ppg average at Kennesaw State would transfer to the ACC and what type of role he might have in the offense. Through two exhibition games, Mikel Brown, Ryan Conwell and Isaac McKneely have been the starting guards, leaving Wooley as the odd man out. He is getting quite a bit of volume off the bench, though, even if it hasn't been super efficient (3-for-15 FG combined). The sophomore is also helping in other categories, picking up a combined 13 rebounds and six assists, so there's still some fantasy utility here.
