Impact Buckner struggled against Georgia, being unable to shoot efficiently, find scorers with his passing and limit his defensive aggression. At the very least, he is healthy after entering Clemson's fall camp at less than 100 percent. Buckner was a regular player for the 2025-26 Tigers. Combine their season and his recent start, it appears that he will maintain a strong role for them at minimum.

Dealing with undisclosed injury Buckner has been limited in practice for Clemson due to an undisclosed injury, according to Chapel Fowler of The Columbia State.

Impact Not having Buckner available for the 2026-27 season opener would be a huge blow for the Tigers, as the junior guard is expected to have a prominent role on offense for the program. Buckner isn't the only player dealing with an injury at the start of training camp, as head coach Brad Brownell revealed that Zac Foster (knee) and Dylan Faulkner (undisclosed) are also limited.
