Woolbright scores 20 as Western Carolina downs East Tennessee State 80-66

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — Vonterius Woolbright and Tre Jackson each scored 20 points in Western Carolina's 80-66 win against East Tennessee State on Wednesday night.

Woolbright also added 13 rebounds and nine assists for the Catamounts (14-2, 3-0 Southern Conference). Russell Jones shot 7 for 13, including 3 for 7 from beyond the arc to finish with 17 points. The Catamounts picked up their eighth straight victory.

Jaden Seymour finished with 24 points, seven rebounds and two blocks for the Buccaneers (9-7, 1-2). Ebby Asamoah added 15 points for East Tennessee State. Quimari Peterson also had 11 points, four assists and three steals.
