Johnson scores 19, East Carolina takes down Tulane 83-68

GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Brandon Johnson scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebound and East Carolina beat Tulane 83-68 on Wednesday.

Jaden Walker scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and distributed five assists and RJ Felton scored 15 for the Pirates (15-14, 6-10 American Athletic Conference).

The Green Wave (17-10, 10-6) were led by Jaylen Forbes, who recorded 23 points and four steals. Jalen Cook added 12 points for Tulane. Tylan Pope also had 11 points and two steals.

The two squads face each other again on Friday.
