Gibbs leads Jacksonville St. past Liberty 77-67
LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Jalen Gibbs had 21 points as Jacksonville State extended its winning streak to 10 games, getting past Liberty 77-67 on Saturday night.
Jalen Finch had 16 points and six assists for Jacksonville State (15-6, 8-0 Atlantic Sun Conference). Kayne Henry added 13 points. Demaree King had 12 points.
Darian Adams, whose 15 points per game heading into the matchup led the Gamecocks, shot only 20 percent in the game (2 of 10).
Darius McGhee had 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Flames (14-7, 5-1), whose six-game winning streak was broken. Kyle Rode added 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Shiloh Robinson had 12 points.
