Case and William & Mary knock off Northeastern 72-68
BOSTON (AP) — Matteus Case led William & Mary with 15 points and Chase Lowe made the go-ahead layup with 19 seconds left as the Tribe knocked off Northeastern 72-68 on Saturday.
Case was 6 of 11 shooting (1 for 3 from 3-point range) for the Tribe (8-13, 3-5 Coastal Athletic Association). Trey Moss shot 4 for 10 (2 for 6 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line, including the clinchers with four seconds left, to add 14 points. Lowe was 5 of 8 shooting and 3 of 4 from the free throw line to finish with 13 points.
Chris Doherty finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds for the Huskies (8-13, 3-5). Harold Woods added 13 points and four steals for Northeastern. In addition, Jared Turner had 11 points.
