Brown scores 20 as Saint Joseph's knocks off American 69-53
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Xzayvier Brown scored 20 points as Saint Joseph's beat American 69-53 on Wednesday night.
Brown shot 6 for 9 (4 for 7 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for the Hawks (7-2). Erik Reynolds II scored 14 points while shooting 6 for 12, including 2 for 6 from beyond the arc, and added six rebounds and five assists. Rasheer Fleming had 13 points and was 6 of 9 shooting (1 for 4 from 3-point range).
The Eagles (4-6) were led in scoring by Elijah Stephens, who finished with 16 points and four assists. Matt Rogers added 12 points for American.
