Balanc scores 13, including game winner, Quinnipiac takes down Fairfield 66-64

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — Matt Balanc scored 13 points, including an acrobatic layup with 3.5 seconds left, as Quinnipiac beat Fairfield 66-64 on Sunday.

Balanc was 5 of 12 shooting (2 for 7 from 3-point range) for the Bobcats (16-4, 8-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Amarri Tice scored 12 points while going 5 of 9 (1 for 5 from 3-point range), and added 11 rebounds. Rihards Vavers and Alexis Reyes both had nine points. The Bobcats picked up their seventh straight victory.

Jalen Leach finished with 18 points and two steals for the Stags (12-8, 6-3). Caleb Fields added 18 points and two steals for Fairfield. Brycen Goodine also had 11 points, six rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
