Modest production in defeat Charles logged nine points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and two assists in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 88-72 loss to the Dream.
Impact Charles had scored in double figures in 12 consecutive appearances leading up to Wednesday's regular-season finale, but she saw a decrease in playing time against Atlanta as the Sun gave more minutes to some of their bench contributors. Despite Wednesday's performance, Charles was productive overall during her age-36 season, averaging 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 28.4 minutes per game over 43 appearances (42 starts). Impact Charles was one of three Connecticut players who scored in double digits in this blowout loss, but perhaps the outcome of the game would've been different had Charles been sharper with her shooting touch. Despite the lack of efficiency, Charles remains a strong fantasy option every time the Sun step on the hardwood, and this was her 12th straight game with double-digit points. She'll aim to close the season on a high note against Atlanta in a rematch Wednesday.
