Impact After trading DiJonai Carrington to the Lynx in exchange for Diamond Miller and Karlie Samuelson (foot) on Sunday, the Wings waived McCowan in a corresponding move. She appeared in 17 regular-season games for Dallas in 2025, averaging 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds across 12.9 minutes per game. Now, the 28-year-old center will have to explore other opportunities.

Impact Li Yueru posted her second dud in a row Sunday, so this was a notable performance from McCowan. It will be interesting to see if any rotation changes are coming to Dallas after this blowout loss, but McCowan was getting scraps coming into Sunday's game -- she played a combined seven minutes in her previous two contests.

Impact As expected, McCowan has left the club Saturday to represent Turkey in the EuroBasket. It's unclear when she'll return to the Wings, but the tournament will finish at the end of June. Considering that Luisa Geiselsoder will also leave for the EuroBasket to represent Germany, but on June 14, the Wings will be depleted in the frontcourt in the coming weeks.

Leaving for EuroBasket McCowan will leave the Wings on June 7 to participate in EuroBasket, Joey Mistretta reports.

Impact McCowan will play for Turkey at EuroBasket, while Luisa Geiselsoder will depart the Wings on June 14 to compete for Germany. McCowan could still suit up for Friday's game against the Sparks with this news, however.
