Tallies 16 points against Atlanta
Rivers racked up 16 points (7-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 88-72 loss to the Dream.
Impact
Rivers had an encouraging rookie season after being selected by the Sun with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft, and she ended the year with a flourish by posting back-to-back 16-point performances. Although the Sun struggled to rack up wins in 2025, Rivers established herself as a solid building block for the team, averaging 8.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.9 blocks in 26.1 minutes per game. She appeared mainly off the bench over the final month of the regular season, but it wouldn't be surprising to see her back in the mix for a starting role in 2026 now that she has a full year of professional experience.

Leading scorer for Connecticut
Rivers finished with 16 points (7-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and a block across 29 minutes in Monday's 87-62 loss to the Dream.
Impact
Rivers moved into the starting lineup due to the absence of Leila Lacan (personal), and she embraced the opportunity to lead the Sun in scoring. The rookie will aim to end the season on a strong note Wednesday in a rematch against the Dream, though it's uncertain if she'll remain in a starting role.

Posts 10 points off bench
Rivers finished with 10 points (4-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) with two rebounds, two assists and two steals across 28 minutes in Monday's 93-76 loss to the Dream.
Impact
The rookie has scored at least 10 points in three of the past five games, and five of the previous eight contests. The good news is that she bounced back nicely after a disastrous 18.2 field-goal percentage (2-11 FG) last time out Saturday against the Lynx.

Bumped back to bench
Rivers isn't part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Dallas.
Impact
Rivers made a spot start last time out as Leila Lacan played through a minor eye injury, but she'll yield to Lacan in the first five Wednesday. Rivers played just 19 minutes in the start and logged three points on three field goal attempts. In 12 games off the bench this season, Rivers is averaging 10.0 points, 2.9 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks over 25.8 minutes.

Doesn't do much in start
Rivers closed Monday's 81-79 loss to the Liberty with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 18 minutes.
Impact
Rivers was unable to take advantage of her starting opportunity, with Leila Lacan (eye) considered a question mark going into the game. Rivers ended up with a minus-17 rating, worst amongst any player in the game. Meanwhile, Lacan sparkled off the bench, and the start likely will be a one-off.

Impact
It was Rivers' fourth time scoring in double digits in her past eight outings, and the three steals led the team.
