Getting opportunity with New York The Liberty signed Carrera (personal) to a training camp contract Sunday, per the WNBA's transaction log.

Impact Carrera was selected by the Dream in the second round of the 2021 WNBA Draft, 15th overall, but she has yet to appear in a regular-season game. She signed a training camp contract with New York in early 2025 but opted to sit out for the entire campaign due to personal reasons. Carrera will get a second go with the Liberty and will look to crack the roster for the 2026 campaign.

Impact Carrera will forgo the 2025 WNBA season after signing a training camp contract with the Liberty on Feb. 1. The 23-year-old last played for Valencia Basket in the EuroLeague, averaging 7.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.0 assists across 22.0 minutes per game over two appearances in April.
