APRIL 27 • FANSIDED.COM

Tallies 13 points in WNBA debut Betts generated 13 points (2-7 FG, 9-10 FT), six rebounds and one assist during Saturday's 66-77 preseason loss to Minnesota.

Impact The rookie out of UCLA made her professional debut for Washington and showed the kind of physicality that made her the 2026 NCAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player. The 6-foot-7 center joins a young Mystics core alongside Shakira Austin, Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron, and Betts should compete for a major role right away as the Mystics continue their rebuild around high-upside draft picks.

APRIL 26 • ROTOWIRE

Starting preseason opener Betts will start Saturday's preseason game against the Lynx, Jenn Hatfield of The Next reports.

Impact Betts will get the starting nod in Washington's preseason opener, joining Georgia Amoore, Sonia Citron, Cotie McMahon and Angela Dugalic in the first unit. However, it's not yet clear if Betts will begin the regular season in a starting role, as Shakira Austin is currently overseas and will likely start once she returns.
