GAME LOG

Catches fire from downtown Vanloo registered 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-7 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists over 17 minutes during Thursday's 91-82 loss to the Lynx.
Impact Vanloo knocked down a team-high five triples and led the Sparks in bench scoring, but it wasn't enough to bring home a victory. Thursday's performance was a great sign after she'd been held to three total points in her first two appearances since signing on with LA.

Dropped by Golden State Vanloo (personal) was waived by the Valkyries on Monday
Impact Vanloo has been away from Golden State since June 10 to compete in EuroBasket, but once she's set to active, Vanloo won't be playing for the Valkyries. The 32-year-old was selected by Golden State during the expansion draft and started in two of her nine appearances, averaging 4.6 points, 4.1 assists and 1.9 rebounds over 20.0 minutes. She shot just 29.2 percent from the field and 21.1 percent from three. Expect Vanloo to receive interest on the open market from teams in need of a true point guard.

Steps away from Golden State Vanloo has stepped away from the Valkyries to compete in EuroBasket, Kendra Andrews of ESPN reports.
Impact Vanloo is the second Valkyrie to step away for this reason. With Vanloo away from the team for the foreseeable future, this will be a big opportunity for Carla Leite to step up. Monique Billings and Kate Martin could also be asked to step up in Vanloo's absence.

Chips in with eight assists Vanloo closed with two points (1-6 FG, 0-5 3Pt), five rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 89-81 win over Los Angeles.
Impact Vanloo moved back into the starting lineup, but she wasn't terribly effective from the field, especially from behind the three-point line. However, she salvaged the stat line with eight assists and five rebounds. The assists tied her season best, as she also had eight in a game on May 29 against the Liberty, and her five rebounds were the most so far this season.

Starting sans Zandalasini Vanlooo will start in Monday's game against the Sparks.
Impact The 32-year-old guard will get the starting nod Monday, as Cecilia Zandalasini is joining the Italian national team for EuroBasket and will miss several weeks of the WNBA season. Vanloo has averaged 5.0 points, 4.6 assists and 1.2 rebounds across 18.0 minutes per game off the bench over her last five outings.

Scores 10 points in loss Vanloo amassed 10 points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound, five assists and one steal across 24 minutes during Thursday's 86-77 loss to Phoenix.
Impact Vanloo reached double figures for the second time this season in the loss. Through seven games, Vanloo is averaging 5.3 points, 3.4 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 19.3 minutes.

Stepping away from team soon The Belgian national team announced Monday that Vanloo will be joining them soon for EuroBasket.
Impact It's not immediately clear how soon Vanloo will depart the Valkyries. Vanloo has appeared in six games to open the 2025 season, averaging 4.5 points, 3.2 assists, 1.7 rebounds and 0.5 steals.
JUNE 2, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Season-high eight dimes in loss Vanloo recorded eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound and eight assists in 25 minutes during Thursday's 82-77 loss to the Liberty.
Impact Vanloo played 27 minutes and scored 14 points during the season-opening loss to the Sparks, which are both still season-high marks for the veteran guard. However, she also committed six turnovers during that game, which prompted a reduced role as she averaged only 14.3 minutes over the next three contests. Surprisingly, Vanloo saw increased playing time Thursday, despite Tiffany Hayes (nose) and Cecilia Zandalasini (foot) being cleared to suit up following multi-game absences. Hayes didn't see any playing time in her return, while Zandalasini saw 15 minutes off the bench. Veronica Burton led the Valkyries in playing time and was the lone guard in the starting lineup, but her production was lackluster versus New York.

Not starting Tuesday Vanloo is not in the Valkyries' starting lineup against the Liberty on Tuesday, Nathan Canilao of The Mercury News reports.
Impact Vanloo entered the starting lineup against the Sparks this past Friday and finished with zero points (0-4 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and two assists over 17 minutes. She'll retreat to the bench for Tuesday's game while Stephanie Talbot enters the Valkyries' starting five.
MAY 27, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Enters starting lineup Vanloo is in the starting lineup for Friday's matchup against the Sparks.
Impact Vanloo will make her first start of the season after coming off the bench in the Valkyries' first two outings. The 32-year-old guard was scoreless Wednesday against the Mystics after scoring 14 points in the season opener versus the Sparks.
MAY 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Pours in four triples in home loss Vanloo ended up with 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-10 3Pt) with four rebounds, two assists and a steal in Friday's 84-67 loss against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Impact Vanloo was quite a spark off the bench, not only for her perimeter shooting, but her quick hands on defense. While her production was solid in 27 minutes, she did also commit six turnovers, so you have to take the good with the bad. Next up for the Valkyries is a visit from the Washington Mystics on Wednesday.

Not in starting lineup Tuesday Vanloo is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's preseason game against the Sparks, Matthew Walter of The Next Hoops reports.
Impact This will be the first preseason starting lineup for the Valkyries, and Vanloo won't be part of the first unit. This doesn't bode well for her chances of playing a regular role once the regular season starts later in May, though it's still too early to draw conclusions with the team likely to mix and match the minutes in preseason.
