Won't return to Phoenix in 2026 Nogic (not injury related) intends to play professionally in Russia and won't return to Phoenix this season, Aya Abdeen of TheIXSports.com reports.
Impact Nogic had her contract temporarily suspended June 20 and will now be out for the remainder of the WNBA season, as she's slated to compete overseas in Russia with an eye on leading the Serbian national team in the EuroBasket 2027 qualifiers. The guard appeared in 16 games (seven starts) for Phoenix, averaging 10.4 points, 1.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 20.2 minutes per contest. With Nogic out of the fold for the foreseeable future, Alexa Held stands to continue benefiting from expanded opportunities in the backcourt.

Contract temporarily suspended The Mercury temporarily suspended Nogic's (not with team) contract Saturday.
Impact According to Hayden Cilley of ClutchPoints.com, head coach Nate Tibbetts said pregame that Nogic is not with the team for personal reasons. She can be considered out indefinitely until the Mercury offer another update. With Nogic unavailable, Alexa Held is likely to see increased playing time moving forward.

Ruled out versus Seattle Nogic (not with team) is listed as out for Saturday's game against Seattle.
Impact Nogic recently scored 12 points across 21 minutes in Wednesday's 86-76 loss to the Aces. She is not with the team, forcing her to miss her first game of the 2026 campaign, meaning Alexa Held could see more action from the bench in Saturday's clash with the Storm.

Responds well off bench Nogic chipped in 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt) and one steal over 21 minutes during Wednesday's 86-76 loss to the Aces.
Impact Nogic provided a big boost off the bench, particularly with his long-distance shooting, and she had one of the team's five steals. It was her first game with at least 10 points since May 24, a span of nine games. When her three-point shot is falling, she can rack up points quickly, but treat her more as a low-end fantasy asset unless injuries open up a starting job again.
JUNE 18 • ROTOWIRE
Posts seven points off bench Nogic posted seven points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 16 minutes in Thursday's 85-70 loss to the Wings.
Impact Nogic was coming off the bench for the second straight outing after making a spot start Friday with Kahleah Copper (hip) and Alyssa Thomas (calf) sidelined. Nogic still saw a decent amount of minutes in a bench role, and she remains a low-end fantasy asset as long as she remains a main part of the rotation.

Over her past five games, Nogic is averaging 7.6 points, 1.8 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per contest.

Impact Nogic didn't have a great night from the floor, particularly from beyond the arc, but she still contributed offensively with a team-high six assists while also logging multiple steals for the third time this season. The 28-year-old made a splash early in her rookie season, averaging 14.7 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 25.1 minutes per game over her first seven outings. However, Nogic has failed to score in double digits in each of her last five games and has connected on just 38.7 percent of her field-goal attempts over that span.

JUNE 6 • ROTOWIRE
Starting to trend down Nogic accumulated eight points (3-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and one rebound across 16 minutes during Monday's 111-77 loss to the Lynx.
Impact With Monique Akoa Makani claiming the top spot at point guard since making her season debut, Nogic's fantasy arrow is beginning to point down. Across seven regular-season appearances, she's adjusting well to the WNBA with averages of 14.7 points, 2.0 assists, 1.0 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 25.3 minutes per contest.

Hits pair of triples in loss Nogic produced 13 points (4-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and three assists in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 98-90 loss to Toronto.
Impact Nogic wasn't terribly effective from the field, but she was able to knock down a team-best two three-pointers. In fact, she accounted for half of the team's made triples, as the Mercury was just 4-of-22 (18.0%) from the behind the arc. She did a good job taking care of the ball, too, turning it over just two times.

Nogic has been one of the early surprises of the WNBA season and is averaging 16.0 points, 1.8 assists, 1.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 3.3 threes over 24.3 minutes per game. Given her scoring output, Nogic could stay in the Mercury's starting lineup even when Monique Akoa Makani returns from her overseas commitment in France.
