Impact Canada is anticipated to resume activities in the coming weeks, at which point the Dream will determine a timetable. Canada will be a key player for the team upon her return, though it's likely the franchise brings her along slowly. In the meantime, Allisha Gray, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Haley Jones could be more involved for Atlanta.

Impact Canada suffered a non-contact knee injury in the first quarter of Wednesday's preseason game against the Mystics, so it's somewhat encouraging that she's only been ruled out for two weeks at this point. Her return timetable means that she'll at least miss Atlanta's preseason finale against Indiana, and she should also be unavailable for at least three regular-season matchups. A better idea of Canada's status could come into focus once she's re-evaluated, but it appears as though she'll miss some time during the regular season, which could lead to increased roles for Allisha Gray, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Haley Jones early in the year.
