Returning to Las Vegas Loyd is finalizing a three-year contract to return to the Aces, Andraya Carter of ESPN reports Friday.

Impact After spending the first 10 years of her career in Seattle, Loyd joined Las Vegas for the 2025 season and helped lead the Aces to their third championship in the last four years. Although she had to settle for a part-time starting role with just 25 starts across 44 regular-season appearances, she maintained plenty of playing time with 28.3 minutes per game. However, she didn't have as much usage during her first year with the Aces as she had for most of her time with the Storm, as she averaged 11.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers made and 1.2 steals. The Aces are slated to retain at least A'ja Wilson, Jackie Young, NaLyssa Smith and Kierstan Bell for the 2026 campaign, so the workload will presumably continue to be spread out among the team's stars, which slightly limits Loyd's fantasy upside.

Impact Loyd took the court with a new team for the first time in 2025, joining the Aces before the season following a trade from the Seattle Storm. It took a bit of time for Loyd to find her way with Las Vegas and fitting into a new environment, but she found her groove over the final half of the regular season and ended the year as a key contributor in Las Vegas. The three-time WNBA champion enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, but you would have to think the Aces bring her back as a key piece to the core of the championship team.
