Impact Cechova suffered a non-contact injury during Thursday's 90-86 win over Dallas and required assistance off the floor. After undergoing an MRI, she was diagnosed with a torn ACL, ending her season. The 21-year-old rookie appeared in three games, and she will finish the 2026 campaign by averaging 8.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.3 steals and 0.7 blocks across 17.3 minutes. With Cechova sidelined, Anastasiia Kosu could be first in line to see more action.

Heads to locker room Cechova went to the locker room during the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Wings due to an apparent right knee injury, Meghan L. Hall of USA Today reports.
Impact Hall notes that it appeared to be a non-contact injury for Cechova, who went down after planting her right leg awkwardly. The severity of the injury is unclear at this time. Maya Caldwell and Anastasiia Kosu could see more minutes if Cechova is unable to return.

Impact Cechova signed with the Lynx in mid-April after playing in the Czech Republic's ZBL during the 2025-26 season. She came off the bench in her WNBA regular-season debut and ended up leading the reserves in minutes, points and rebounds while connecting on all five of her field-goal attempts. If she keeps up this level of play, Cechova figures to have a permanent spot in Minnesota's rotation and could even see some spot starts when the opportunity arises.
