Joining Grand Canyon as coach Taylor (foot) announced Tuesday to ESPN that she'll join Grand Canyon as an assistant coach.

Impact Taylor has been nursing a foot injury that she suffered while playing for the Sydney Flames in the WNBL, and she was unable to make the Mercury's Opening Day roster. Although she's taking a break from the WNBA, Taylor said she will take the summer to recover in the hopes of returning to the league in 2026.

Impact After signing a training camp contract with Phoenix back in January, Taylor was unable to make the team ahead of the regular season. The 23-year-old bounced around with three different clubs in 2024, averaging 2.6 points, 1.3 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 0.7 steals in 14.9 minutes over 22 games, and Taylor will now look to latch onto another team as backcourt depth.
