Selected by Portland Carleton was selected by the Fire with the No. 1 pick in the WNBA Expansion Draft on Friday, Mitchell Hansen of CanisHoopus.com reports.
Impact Carleton served mainly as a starter for the Lynx across the past two seasons, starting in 80 of 83 regular-season appearances and averaging 8.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists while averaging 28.9 minutes of playing time across those two years. While the Fire will still have the opportunity to fill out their roster via free agency and the rookie draft later in April, Carleton should play a key frontcourt role for one of the league's newest franchises in 2026.

Shows accuracy from distance Carleton ended Wednesday's 75-74 victory over Golden State with 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 22 minutes.
Impact Carleton wasn't terribly involved in Game 1, going for just two points, but she was much more efficient shooting, showing tremendous confidence from distance. If not for four personal fouls keeping her nailed to the bench for long stretches, she might have been even more productive.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet in 29 minutes Carleton logged three points (1-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Thursday's 72-53 win over Golden State.

Catches fire from three Carleton produced 16 points (5-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 75-73 loss to the Dream.
Impact Carleton bounced back in a big way during Thursday's tightly-contested loss after being held to eight total points over her last four matchups. She's now drilled four triples twice through seven appearances in August, but her lack of consistency across the board should continue to be a concern for fantasy managers.

Struggles in Sunday's start Carleton totaled three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 22 minutes in Sunday's 83-71 win over the Liberty.
Impact Carleton has been nearly invisible on offense in the past two games, which isn't optimal considering it's all hands on deck for the Lynx with Napheesa Collier (ankle) on the shelf. Carleton is averaging just 5.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.0 three-pointers per game across the previous five outings.

Efficient from deep in win Carleton racked up 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 91-87 win over the Storm.
Impact Carleton has been a bit inconsistent as a scorer of late, but she's found a way to post double-digit scoring numbers in four of her last six appearances. She'll have low-end fantasy value as long as she stays in the starting lineup, but ultimately, her efficiency from three-point range will determine how much of a fantasy asset she'll be. Carleton has made 45.2 percent of her treys on 4.2 attempts per game over her last 10 contests.
