GAME LOG

Won't play Sunday Edwards (thigh) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus Seattle.
Impact Edwards will miss her second straight game, and for now, she should be considered highly questionable for Wednesday's matchup the Aces. Kennedy Burke, Diamond Miller and Olivia Nelson-Ododa will help pick up the slack in Edwards' absence.
MAY 9 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out for Opening Night Edwards (thigh) has been ruled out for Friday's Opening Night matchup against the Liberty.
Impact Edwards missed Sunday's regular-season finale against New York due to a left thigh injury, and the issue will keep her out to begin the regular season. It's not yet clear when she'll be able to return, but Kennedy Burke, Diamond Miller and Olivia Nelson-Ododa are candidates to see increased playing time in Friday's matchup.
MAY 7 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out versus Liberty Edwards (thigh) won't play in Sunday's preseason game against the Liberty.
Impact Edwards had 14 points and five rebounds across 17 minutes during the 83-78 preseason win over Toronto on April 29. However, a left-thigh injury will keep the 23-year-old off the floor for the preseason finale. Her next opportunity to suit up will be May 8, when Connecticut opens the regular season versus New York.
MAY 2 • ROTOWIRE
Plays well in preseason Edwards produced 14 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one turnover in 17 minutes of Wednesday's 83-78 preseason win over the Tempo.
Impact Edwards was one of three players to reach double figures for the Sun. The forwards averaged 4.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.9 steals over 17.0 minutes per game in 2025, but she could take a step forward in her third season.
APRIL 30 • ROTOWIRE
Fourth-year option picked up The Sun exercised the fourth-year option on Edwards' contract Sunday, Richard Cohen of HerHoopStats.com reports.
Impact The move means that Edwards is under contract with Connecticut in 2027, when she will earn $424,362. The third-year player is looking to establish a larger role for herself with the Sun after being acquired from the Mystics in August. Across 15 regular-season games with the Sun in 2025, Edwards averaged 4.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.9 steals over 17.0 minutes per game.

Productive in season finale Edwards chipped in four points (1-7 FG, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and five steals in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 88-72 loss to the Dream.
Impact Edwards wasn't particularly efficient from the floor during Wednesday's regular-season finale, but she posted a season-high mark in steals while also tying her season-best mark in rebounds during the loss. Edwards showed promise as a rookie with the Mystics in 2024 but struggled to replicate that production this season, even after being traded from Washington to Connecticut in early August. Over 36 appearances between the two clubs, the 23-year-old averaged 5.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in 15.2 minutes per game. Edwards could see a slight increase in usage next year if some of the team's veterans sign elsewhere, but the Sun also have plenty of young talent, so Edwards will likely have to settle for a complementary role in 2026.
SEPTEMBER 11, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Thrust into larger role Edwards amassed four points (2-6 FG), eight rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 88-64 loss to the Sky.
Impact Edwards took advantage of a huge bump in playing time, as Aneesah Morrow (chest) left the game early due to a chest injury. Edwards wasn't terribly effective shooting the ball, but she was strong on the glass, while showing off good hands on the defensive end. If Morrow is sidelined, Edwards could see a bump in responsibilities.
SEPTEMBER 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Paces bench in loss Edwards recorded 11 points (3-6 FG, 5-8 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 21 minutes in Saturday's 94-70 loss to the Lynx.
Impact Edwards led the Sun's second unit in points and was the team's third-leading scorer in the blowout loss. After logging single-digit minutes in Wednesday's win over Dallas for the first time since being acquired by Connecticut on Aug. 7, the second-year forward played a season-high 21 minutes with Olivia Nelson-Ododa (back) sidelined. Edwards has appeared in 10 games with the Sun, posting double-digit points in two of them.

Tallies two swats in win Edwards provided zero points (0-1 FG), three rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal in 16 minutes during Saturday's 94-84 victory over the Sky.
Impact Edwards had a quiet night on the offensive end but still recorded a game-high mark in blocks. The second-year forward has appeared in seven games with the Sun since being traded, during which she has averaged 5.3 points and 3.6 rebounds across 15.1 minutes per game.
AUGUST 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Tallies 10 points off bench Edwards ended Thursday's 67-56 win over Washington with 10 points (3-4 FG, 4-6 FT) and five rebounds over 16 minutes.
Impact Edwards was efficient from the floor and made the most of her 16 minutes, as this was the first time she scored in double digits since the All-Star break. As good as she was Thursday, though, it's hard to see Edwards putting up this level of efficiency on a regular basis. Plus, the fact that she's averaging 12.2 minutes per game off the bench since the break limits her upside considerably.

Impact It was Edwards' first trip back to Washington since being traded to Connecticut at the deadline two weeks ago. She is averaging just shy of 15 minutes per game in her five appearances, posting 5.4 points and 3.4 rebounds in the span.
