Aces latest test to remain undefeated Smith defeated Randy Brown via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-26) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Impact After rolling through Bruce Whitehead, Josiah Harrell, Niko Price, and Preston Parsons in his first four UFC bouts, Smith got a much-needed step up in competition here against and once again dominated despite seeing the final bell for the first time with the promotion. It took Jacobe a few minutes to get his trademark wrestling game going, but once he did, it was dominant, one-way traffic the rest of the way. Smith closed with a 153-39 edge in total strikes landed, in addition to connecting on all three of his takedown attempts and racking up 8:53 worth of control time. He's legit. Expect the undefeated Oklahoma native to rise up the rankings at 170 pounds as the calendar pushes towards 2027.

Accepts short-notice fight Smith has accepted a short-notice fight against Randy Brown in a welterweight bout at UFC Vegas 123 on Oct. 31, Marcel Dorff of Heavy On Sports reports.
Impact Smith secured a KO victory over Bruce Whitehead on Oct. 3 at UFC 332, but he'll step into the octagon twice in less than a month, this time to face Brown. It remains to be seen how Smith will handle the uptick in competition, but the fact that he was booked on short notice shows how highly the promotion thinks of him. Smith remains undefeated both in and outside of the UFC, but Brown will be his toughest test to date.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Rolls as biggest favorite on card Smith defeated Bruce Whitehead via KO (punches) at 1:32 of Round 1 at UFC 332 on Saturday in Salt Lake City.
Impact This card had 13 fights on it originally, so the fact the UFC added this matchup about a week ago was a bit odd. Smith, who is undefeated as a professional, entered as a -1200 favorite and predictably looked worthy of that price tag and then some in the mismatch. After an accidental low blow halted the contest in the opening seconds, Smith was able to slam Whitehead on his head before knocking him out cold with follow-up shots. Jacobe was originally scheduled to face Kevin Holland in July before a Holland injury forced it's cancellation, so the promotion clearly feels he's ready for a much stiffer test.
OCTOBER 3 • ROTOWIRE
Booked versus Whitehead Smith will fight Bruce Whitehead at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on Oct. 3, Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports reports.
Impact Smith has won all three of his UFC fights since debuting January 2025, most recently defeating Josiah Harrell via TKO in February. He will take on Whitehead who is making his UFC debut on very short notice, last fighting on Sept. 20 in the Fury Fighting Championship.
SEPTEMBER 25 • ROTOWIRE
Fight cancelled Smith will no longer fight Kevin Holland at UFC OKC on July 18 as the latter has suffered an injury, per Marcel Dorff of Heavy on Sports.
Impact Smith won't get a chance to fight in Oklahoma City, as the UFC reportedly won't look for a replacement and the bout has been cancelled. The welterweight is coming off a victory over Josiah Harrell via TKO his last time in the Octagon.
JULY 11 • ROTOWIRE
Next bout scheduled Smith is set to fight Kevin Holland at UFC OKC on July 18, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
Impact Smith last defeated Josiah Harrell via TKO at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 21 in Houston. The 30-year-old welterweight called Holland out after the bout, and Smith will be trying to remain undefeated as a pro in his next matchup.

"Refs are altering lives" - Fans slam Kerry Hatley for scary late stoppage at UFC Houston Scary scenes unfolded at UFC Houston as debutant Josiah Harrell went out cold after taking multiple unanswered shots from opponent Jacobe Smith.
FEBRUARY 22 • SPORTSKEEDA.COM
Remains undefeated as pro Smith defeated Josiah Harrell via TKO (strikes) at 3:01 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Houston.
Impact The UFC continues to bring Smith along slowly, which is probably the correct move given he has about as much future upside as any prospect in the sport today. Smith is already 30 years old, but has just a dozen professional fights under his belt. Harrell is no slouch and Jacobe reversed him with ease during a mat exchange before pounding him out in an instant. Smith spent his post-fight interviewing calling out Kevin Holland, who was in the crowd. The issue is that Holland already has a fight scheduled against Randy Brown at UFC 327 in April in Miami. Either way, Smith is primed for big things moving forward at 170 pounds.
FEBRUARY 22 • ROTOWIRE

Rolls as biggest favorite on card Smith defeated Niko Price via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:03 of Round 2 at UFC 317 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Impact Smith entered this fight as roughly a -2500 favorite, which is about as high a number as you will ever see at this level. He dominated the entire way, although he didn't earn an instant victory, which was probably a good thing. Smith earned gain plenty of valuable experience against a durable opponent. If there's one negative, it's the fact his energy level seemed to dip after he wasn't able to get Price out of there immediately. Regardless, the result was never in doubt. It's the first submission win of Smith's brief professional career. He improves to 2-0 in the UFC.
JUNE 29, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Will face Niko Price Smith will face Niko Price in a welterweight bout at UFC 317 on June 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
Impact Smith debuted at the UFC level and did it with a huge knockout against Preston Parsons on Jan. 11. The former wrestler in college remains undefeated in MMA and eight of his 10 wins have come via KO. His power should pose quite a challenge for Price.
