Second straight knockout loss Petroski lost to Cody Brundage via TKO (punches) at 0:44 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Impact To say this result is going to be difficult for Petroski to overcome is the understatement of the century. He won Round 1 on all three scorecards on the strength of a takedown and 1:56 worth of control time, but one sweeping Brundage left hook dropped Andre early in Round 2 and that was all she wrote. Petroski will be 35 years old in mid-June. He's lost three in a row dating back to June 2025, including his last two via knockout. With Dana White's Contender Series starting up again soon, Petroski's roster spot would appear to be in jeopardy.

Impact Petroski will look to prevent a three-fight losing streak after finishing 2025 with back-to-back losses, his latest a TKO defeat from Cam Rowston. He takes on Cody Brundage, who is on a worse losing streak, meaning this upcoming fight may select who keeps their job in the promotion.

Crushing KO defeat in Perth Petroski lost to Cam Rowston via TKO (punches) at 2:41 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Perth, Australia.

Impact This is a loss the 34-year-old Petroski simply could not afford as a -190 favorite. He ate a short left hook from the debuting Rowston which sent him sprawling to the mat and Andre was never able to recover. Petroski remains a stronger grappler, but when you combine his advanced age with his questionable durability and his low-volume striking, you have the recipe for potential disaster moving forward. There's a non-zero chance Petroski could be fighting for his job his next time out.

Looking to get back to winning ways Petroski is scheduled to compete against Cam Rowston in a middleweight fight at UFC Perth on Sept. 27, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.

Impact Petroski's last fight was at UFC Atlanta on June 14, when he fougth Edmen Shahbazyan and lost via unanimous decision. Before then, the former picked up three straight wins and is looking to be 4-1 across his last five fights.

Impact A one-dimensional grappler with below-average striking skills and questionable durability, Petroski is going to struggle if he isn't spamming together takedowns and racking up control time. He went 2-for-6 here against Shahbazyan, good for a positional advantage of a measly 23 seconds. Any theoretical gains Petroski may have made in Round 2 were negated by the fact he was knocked down following a liver shot and nearly finished in the final frame. Andre ended the evening having one three straight, so his roster spot is plenty secure, but the upside here is quite limited at age 34.
