Reaches third final in Merida Frech won 6-2, 6-7 (6), 6-3 over Shuai Zhang in the semifinals of Merida on Saturday.

Impact Frech battled past the No. 86-ranked qualifier in three sets across two hours and 35 minutes to reach her first final of the season and the third of her career. Both of the 28-year-old's previous final showings came in 2024, when she claimed her lone title in Guadalajara. Frech will play No. 63-ranked Cristina Bucsa (2-1 H2H) in this final matchup.
