Muchova won 6-4, 7-5 over Victoria Mboko in the final of Doha on Saturday.
Impact
Muchova topped the No. 13-ranked Canadian in straight sets across one hour and 35 minutes to capture the biggest title of her career and also her first title in nearly seven years. The 29-year-old Czech has been making deep runs in slams for many years now, so she is certainly deserving of a second title. Muchova is now 12-2 to start the season after six wins this week.
