Impact Pegula dropped the second set for the second match in a row at this WTA 1000 event but once again finished strong as she eliminated the No. 9 seed to move into the quarterfinals after two hours and six minutes on court. The 31-year-old American claimed 63% of service points and 40% of return points and totaled seven more points than Alexandrova in the win.
