WWE Rumors: Tough Enough Winner Sara Lee Released
Sara Lee, the female WWE Tough Enough winner from 2015, has reportedly been released.
WWE Tough Enough returned in 2015, and saw Sara Lee and Josh Bredl win the event. They would get $250,000 contracts to join NXT and train at the Performance Center.
However, it seems Lee’s spotlight has ended. Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that she got released by WWE on Friday. There hasn’t been a formal announcement from the company yet.
After winning on the 2015 finale, Lee never appeared on NXT TV. She wrestled at a few live events during the summer, but didn’t find much success. Her last wrestling appearance came on August 11.
The female runner-up, Amanda Saccomanno, found quick success with WWE. She’s known as Mandy Rose, and has already been featured on a season of Total Divas. The 25-year-old is even starting to appear on NXT TV.
Daria Berenato, who had been one of the first eliminated on Tough Enough, is receiving TV time as well. She has worked under her real name.
As for the men’s side, Bredl hasn’t been seen on NXT since winning the reality series in 2015. He’s mostly known for his shot at the Social Outcasts earlier in the year, which got him plenty of heat. Like Lee, the former football player has rarely seen time at live events. He has worked as Bronson Matthews.
The runner-up, Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe, got released during the summer. He didn’t see much time at live events either.
Patrick Clark has found the most success from the men’s side. He has worked a few NXT TV matches, and is a frequent part of live events.
Mada Abdelhamid is the final Tough Enough participant from the men’s side to have been signed. However, he hasn’t worked a match since joining the company.
So, we’ll see if Sara Lee pops up on any wrestling shows after her release. Do you think she can remains in the business?
