Full match results from WWE Backlash 2016 on Sunday, Sept. 11 from The Coliseum in Richmond, VA

The first brand-specific pay-per-view of the so-called new era will take place on Sunday, Sept. 11 with WWE Backlash taking the stage in Richmond, VA. This will be the first event for the SmackDown LIVE brand and it looks to be quite a show-stealer. There are plenty of high-profile matches and potentially big moments that could happen. Needless to say, they’ve done a good job building to this first SmackDown PPV.

WWE Backlash will be main-evented by Dean Ambrose defending the WWE World Championship in a huge match against AJ Styles. Styles is arguably the best pro wrestler in the world right now. Considering what both he and Ambrose are capable of, this could be an incredible match. There’s a reason this is in the main event and it should very well deliver.

Sunday’s show will also feature the crowning of two new champions. Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon announced the SmackDown Women’s Championship and Tag Team Championships. The Women’s title will be decided in a Six-Pack Elimination match at WWE Backlash. Meanwhile, the tag titles will be awarded to the winners of the tournament finals.

Additionally, Randy Orton will face off with Bray Wyatt at Backlash. Also, The Miz will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dolph Ziggler. With all of this and more on the docket, you won’t want to miss anything that happens at WWE Backlash.
