WWE announces Jon Stewart is coming back to SummerSlam

Former Daily Show host Jon Stewart served as the host of SummerSlam last year in Brooklyn, and Mick Foley made a surprise announcement during a backstage segment Monday on Raw - Stewart's coming back as a special guest.

Stewart had a long run of involvement in 2015, starting when Seth Rollins said in a promo that he should replace Stewart as the Daily Show host. Stewart eventually interfered in Rollins' match against John Cena, turning heel and hitting Cena with a chair, allowing Rollins to win the U.S. Championship.
Cena got revenge the following night on Raw, where he hit Stewart with an Attitude Adjustment.
The news of Stewart's return was met with a mixed reaction from fans, and there are a couple things that are rather strange about Foley's announcement:
The best-case scenario here isn't a total repeat of 2015, where Stewart played a key role in a huge match. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor can be the match of the night on its own, as could AJ Styles vs. John Cena, and outside involvement from a guest star could only harm those matches (unless the guest is, say, Stone Cold Steve Austin).
