The year in WWE was dominated by Seth Rollins -- and that means The Authority (Triple H and Stephane McMahon -- as the chase never seemed to end for Roman Reigns, expect for five minutes and 15 seconds.

Here's a look at some of the highlight moments in sports entertainment in 2015.

Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 31 before a packed house. He pinned Roman Reigns to take the title away from Brock Lesnar, who lost the belt without being pinned or submitting.

Rollins was in charge throughout the rest of the year ... until a match with Demon Kane in Dublin in the fall. A move gone wrong and Rollins blew out his knee. Surgery shelved him for six-to-nine months.

That led to a tournament, which concluded at Survivor Series. It appeared as if Roman Reigns had finally achieved his goal of winning the WWE championship. Reigns did hold the title ... for 5:15. After Reigns disposed of Dean Amrbose, Sheamus came down to the ring and cashed in his Money in the Bank opportunity, taking care of Reigns and taking the title that he holds.

Nikki Bella was the dominant diva for much of 2015. However, her extended reign concluded when she was defeated by Charlotte, daughter of the legendary Ric Flair.

The legendary Undertaker made his return to WrestleMania a successful one as he defeated Bray Wyatt.

On the lighter side, Brock Lesnar destroyed the "gift" care of J&J Security on Raw one Monday.

On the sad side, sports entertainment saw Dusty Rhodes, Verne Gagne, Roddy Piper and Nick Bockwinkel pass away.
