Traylor initially debuted as part of WCW as an enforced known as "Big Bubba Rogers" before eventually signing with the WWE in 1988 where he debuted as the Big Boss Man.
Posed as a former Georgia corrections officer, Boss Man would routinely beat his opponents and then handcuff them to a ring rope before dishing out some extra punishment with a nightstick.
Traylor continued with the Big Boss Man gimmick until 1993 when he re-signed with WCW and underwent several different character changes while wrestling there for the next five years.
Eventually, Traylor returned to WWE as Big Boss Man once again, except this time he ditched the police man uniform and instead dressed like a SWAT team member while serving as a bodyguard to Vince McMahon.
Traylor was eventually released from WWE in 2003 before moving into the indie wrestling circuit in 2004.
Sadly, Traylor died in 2004 as a result of a heart attack at his home in Georgia. He was just 41 years old.
The Big Boss Man joins a growing list of WWE Hall of Famers this year including Sting, The Fabulous Freebirds and The Godfather. The entire induction ceremony will take place during WrestleMania 32 weekend in Dallas, Tex.
