It was clear that Ric Flair was beginning to become a detriment to his daughter, WWE women's champion Charlotte, and that the professional relationship between the two needed to come to a close sooner or later - but no one expected Charlotte to discard her father in the shocking in brutal fashion she did on Monday Night Raw, which left Flair sobbing.
The two Flairs and Dana Brooke came to the ring one night after Charlotte retained her title, and Ric Flair congratulated his daughter for her long run atop the women's division. Charlotte took the microphone and became visibly rattled by the crowd - which interrupted her and responded after every sentence with Stone Cold's classic "what?" - but Charlotte channeled her anger with the fans in Baltimore at her father and proceeded to eviscerate the 16-time world champion. Charlotte ripped Flair for being an absent father and for overshadowing her own career.
Flair broke down in the ring and walked away in tears.
