Turner scores 15 as No. 2 Notre Dame beats No. 12 Florida St

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Brianna Turner had 15 points and was one of four Notre Dame players in double figures as the second-ranked Fighting Irish defeated No. 12 Florida State 73-66 on Monday night.

Notre Dame (26-1, 14-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) led by as many as 19 points in the second quarter but Florida State got within 71-66 with 7.8 seconds remaining on a 3-pointer by Maria Conde. They weren't able to draw closer as the Irish extended their winning streak to 19.

Arike Ogunbowal and Madison Cable scored 13 points apiece while Michaela Mabrey added 11.

Ivey Slaughter led Florida State with 15 points and Shakayla Thomas added 14. The Seminoles (21-6, 11-3) saw their 30-game home winning streak snapped, which was the third-longest in the nation, and have lost two straight for the first time in two years.
