No. 25 Vanderbilt 66, Auburn 58

Christina Foggie tied a career high with 27 points, leading No. 25 Vanderbilt to a 66-58 victory over Auburn on Thursday night.

Foggie scored 22 points after halftime and matched a personal best with six 3-pointers. It was her seventh 20-point game of the season as Vanderbilt (14-2, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) is off to its best start in five years.

After a scoring drought over nearly eight minutes in the first half, Auburn (9-8, 1-3) trailed by 20 twice in the second half. The Tigers went on a 13-1 run over the last 98 seconds to cut the lead to five, but Vanderbilt made three of four free throws to seal the victory.

Tiffany Clarke, making her first start of the season for Vanderbilt, scored 10 of her 12 points in the first half. Jasmine Lister chipped in 11.

Tyrese Tanner scored 14 points for the Tigers and Chantel Hilliard added 11 points.
