NEW YORK (AP) The WNBA draft lottery will be changed to consider records over two years and the team with the worst record will be guaranteed at least the third pick.
The league announced the changes Wednesday.
The drawing will still be held among the four teams that didn't make the playoffs, but the odds will be based on the cumulative records of the lottery teams over the past two regular seasons.
Under the previous format, the team with the worst record was guaranteed to pick no worse than fourth.
