UFC fighters hit hard for charity

Published Aug. 1, 2013 1:00 a.m. ET

The fighters of the UFC are the toughest people on the planet, but are also some of the most charitable. The UFC partnered with Zappos to help the children of Boys Town Nevada and some of the UFC’s biggest stars came out to help. The roster included UFC Hall of Famer Forrest Griffin, Lightweight Champ Benson Henderson, Urijah Faber, Dan Cormier, Phil Davis, Luke Rockhold, Carlos Condit, and Joseph Benavidez among others. Fighters assisted the kids with shoe fitting, autographs, Q&A sessions, and lunch.

Carlos Condit summarized the day, “People are in a position that they cannot afford necessities like shoes and we are so lucky to be able to help people out with something so basic.”
