Round 1
Jones starts the fight hunched over, but Machida sticks to his game plan and circles patiently. Jones is stalking the Brazilian, who dodges all his strike attempts in the first minute. Jones connects with an outside leg kick. Machida finds an opening and comes forward, but the champion backs away. Jones misses with a spinning back kick. Machida lands a nice straight left. Jones is missing with his low kicks as Machida is using his speed well. Machida lands a nice low kick followed by a straight punch and Jones barely misses with a high kick as he tries to answer back. Jones misses with a wild overhand right. Machida is finding openings on his counters and he flurries the champion with a big combination. Jones grazes Machida with a high kick, but the challenger is unfazed.
A close opening round, but it belongs to Machida on the FOXSports.com card as he landed the best shots.
Round 2
Jones misses with an outside leg kick and a spinning back kick. He grazes the challenger with a high kick and misses with a straight right. Machida is exhibiting excellent patience as he's trying to time his counters. Jones with another outside leg kick. Machida catches a kick and lands a wild flurry on the champion, who stays composed and creates some space. Machida eats a big left hook, but he's not hurt. Jones has seen enough and he shoots in for an explosive takedown. He lands a few elbows on top and Machida gets back up. The Brazilian is now bleeding profusely and referee John McCarthy halts the action to allow the doctor to inspect the damage. They restart in the clinch and Jones is muscling the challenger around. They separate and take the center of the Octagon. Machida times a big counter left, but Jones answers back with a big combination. He sets up a standing guillotine choke, squeezing until Machida is unconscious on his feet. The challenger falls limp and this one is all over.

Frank Mir (16-5) vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (33-7-1)
Round 1
Nogueira is stalking Mir early and fainting with his hands. Mir ducks under a punch and they clinch up. Nogueira has Mir up against the cage, but the American spins him around. They go back and fourth inside the clinch with neither man doing any damage or maintaining a dominant position. Mir uses his weight to take Nogueira down momentarily before the Brazilian scoots back to his feet. Nogueira lands a nice hook followed by an elbow and knee inside the clinch. He creates some space and Mir is rocked. Nogueira is unloading with punches and he rolls for a D'Arce choke. Mir escapes and gets to side control. He locks in a kimura and Nogueira tries to roll out of it. The pressure being applied is too much and Nogueira is forced to tap out. Nogueira's shoulder pops and he's writhing in pain.
Sensational submission victory for Mir, who now becomes the first man to both knock out and submit the legendary former Pride heavyweight champion.

Tito Ortiz (16-10-1) vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (20-5)
Round 1
Ortiz comes forward and "Little Nog" connects with some big hooks. The former UFC light heavyweight champion shoots in for a takedown and puts Nogueira against the cage. Nogueira batters him with short elbows and hooks inside the clinch. Nogueira lands a vicious combination and Ortiz backs away. Nogueira keeps moving forward with big shots and Ortiz drops after taking a knee to the midsection. The Brazilian goes in for the kill and Ortiz intelligently closes his guard to lessen the damage. The shots are taking their toll, however, as Nogueira continues to reign down blows to the body and head. Ortiz is covering up, but he's doing little to improve the position. The elbows and punches to the body keep coming and Ortiz is visibly hurt. Referee Yves Lavigne saves "The People's Champ" from any further punishment at 3:15 of the period.

Post-fight, a teary-eyed Ortiz admitted that the body shots hurt him badly. He said he's planning to take some time off, but there's a final fight left on his contract and he hopes UFC president Dana White will allow him to compete once more.
Claude Patrick (14-2) vs. Brian Ebersole (49-14-1)
Round 1
Ebersole shoots in for a takedown and Patrick stuffs it. They jockey for position in the clinch and Ebersole pushes Patrick against the cage. Ebersole finally takes Patrick down, but the Canadian sinks in a tight guillotine choke and closes his guard. Ebersole survives and Patrick is forced to release the hold. Ebersole is now trying to hold top position. Patrick moves his hips and returns to a vertical base. Ebersole is finding some success with his hands and he shoots in again. Ebersole is keeping his weight on Patrick against the cage, getting the better of the clinch game. Patrick turns him around as time expires.

Round 2
Patrick is moving forward, but Ebersole circles well. Patrick dives in for a takedown and Ebersole gets out of the way. Ebersole closes the distance again, working for a single-leg takedown inside the clinch. Patrick finally creates some distance and lands a series of punches. Patrick is now trying to take Ebersole down, but Indiana keeps his balance and spins Patrick around. Patrick flurries in the final seconds of the round, but Ebersole is still standing.
It's a close 10-10 round on the FOXSports.com card.
Round 3
Ebersole wastes little time shooting in for a takedown. Ebersole is unable to amount any significant offense inside Patrick's guard, but he's effectively controlling the position. Patrick briefly returns to his feet, only to be taken right back down. Ebersole transitions from side control to Patrick's back. Ebersole's pressure is unrelenting, but Patrick is desperately trying to create some space. Patrick gets a hold of Ebersole's arm and the crowd frenzies, but Ebersole escapes. Patrick then tries a choke, but Ebersole spins out. Back on their feet, Patrick is coming forward with big shots. He stuffs a takedown attempt from Ebersole and tries the D'Arce choke again. Ebersole spins out and finishes the fight reigning down punches on top of the Toronto native.

Mark Hominick (20-10) vs. Chan Sung Jung (12-3)
Round 1
Hominick misses with a big left hook and Jung answers with a vicious straight right hand that stuns Hominick. The Canadian fan favorite falls to the canvas and Jung follows up with a barrage of punches for the shocking upset victory at the seven-second mark of the very first round.

Round 1
They exchange right away. Pokrajac is coming forward with vicious straight punches. After a big right hand, Soszynski falls limp and Pokrajac tees off with ground-and-pound for the emphatic first-round knockout win. Soszynski is badly hurt and needs a few minutes to regain his senses.

Jared Hamman (13-4) vs. Constantinos Philippou (9-2)
Round 1
Hamman connects with several counter shots in the early stages of the round. Philippou drops Hamman with a big combination. Hamman wobbles back to his feet, only to be dropped again with another vicious right hand. Philippou is now trying to sink in a rear-naked choke, but Hamman scrambles back to his feet. He's dropped with another big right and gets right back up. However, a big right hand sends Hamman tumbling back to the mat. This time, referee John McCarthy has seen enough and saves Hamman from the beating at 3:11 of the opening stanza.

Dennis Hallman (44-14-12) vs. John Makdessi (9-1)
Round 1
Hallman initiates a clinch right away, but Makdessi keeps his balance. Hallman finally gets him down and he reigns down punches. Hallman sinks in the hooks and takes Makdessi's back. The Tristar Gym product covers up as Hallman drops hammerfists. Makdessi spins around, but now Hallman is in the full mount. Hallman is unloading with elbows. Makdessi tries to spin out of it, but Hallman takes his back again and now he sinks in the rear-naked choke. Makdessi has nowhere to go and he's forced to tap out at the 2:58 mark.

Yves Jabouin (17-7) vs. Walel Watson (9-3)
Round 1
They touch gloves and we're off. Both men are tentative for the first minute. Watson misses with a spinning back kick. Jabouin counters a missed superman punch with a nice hook. Watson is trying to use his range to throw strikes, but Jabouin is moving well. Jabouin now grazes Watson with a spinning back kick of his own. Watson misses a spinning backlist and eats a nice overhand right. Watson now charges in and they clinch up with Jabouin putting Watson against the fence and tripping him to the mat. Watson returns to his feet, but Jabouin stays on him against the cage. Watson tries to isolate an arm, but Jabouin defends. They separate and continue to throw out range finders as neither man lands anything significant. Jabouin connects with a few strikes in the final 10 seconds.

Round 2
Jabouin catches a kick and lands a counterpunch, but Watson manages to keep his balance. Jabouin is beginning to land with his counters as he stalks Watson around the Octagon. Jabouin barely misses with a jumping spinning back kick at the two-minute mark. Jabouin shoots in for an explosive double-leg takedown, putting Watson on his back. Watson nearly sinks what appears to be a tight guillotine choke in the last 10 seconds, but Jabouin pulls his head out just before time expires.

Round 3
A nice exchange early on between the two flashy strikers. Watson's kicks have slowed considerably since the early rounds, while Jabouin bopping around well on his feet. Jabouin lands a strong leg kick followed by a nice push kick as Watson tries to close the distance. Jabouin with a nice spinning backfist, which he follows up with a takedown. Watson wraps up an arm, which allows him to get the top position. Watson is now landing elbows from the half-guard. He's looking for a D'arce choke, but Jabouin scrambles out of it and the crowd erupts. Jabouin misses completely with a spinning backfist attempt. An exciting exchange in the final 10 seconds with both men landing some nice strikes.

Round 1
The Canadian Bocek receives a great ovation from the hometown crowd.
After a brief feeling out process, they clinch up early and Bocek gets the better of it, bullying Lentz against the cage. Bocek trips Lentz to the mat, but he can't keep him there long. Lentz tries to apply a guillotine choke, but Bocek postures out of it. Bocek now working from inside Lentz's guard. Bocek with some big punches as time expires.

Round 2
Bocek showcasing his improved hands as he lands a solid body punch before failing on a lazy takedown attempt. He drops levels again, but Lentz wraps his legs around Bocek's head and applies pressure. Bocek follows through with the takedown and puts Lentz on his back. Lentz locks up a guillotine off his back and Bocek could be in trouble. The Canadian BJJ specialist gets to his feet and patiently gets himself out of the dangerous predicament. He's back on top of Lentz and referee Herb Dean stands them up.

Bocek gets another takedown and he's hammering away on top of Lentz. The Minnesota Martial Arts product tries another guillotine choke, which allows him to scramble back to his feet. They separate and Lentz is coming forward. He rocks Bocek's head back with a nice uppercut as chants of "Bocek" echo throughout the Air Canada Centre. Bocek shoots in again and he secures another takedown. Lentz keeps his arm wrapped around the Canadian's neck, but Bocek escapes easily this time. Bocek maintains top position, but he can't pass the guard. Lentz returns to his feet and they exchange wild shots as time expires.

Rich Attonito (10-5) vs. Jake Hecht (11-2)
Round 1
Attonito counters a leg kick attempt early. Attonito with a straight right hand. Hecht keeps kicking and Attonito finally catches one and takes him down. Attonito lands in the half-guard, but Hecht does well to close his guard and prevent substantial damage. With about a minute remaining, Attonito briefly passes to side control, but Hecht re-guards.

They exchange right away and Attonito lands a strong hook. The American Top Team product is pressing forward and Hecht initiates a clinch. Attonito uses the position to drop levels for a single-leg takedown, but Hecht balances well on his feet. Hecht lands a series of elbow strikes, which drop Attonito. The UFC newcomer immediately pounces, dropping a cavalcade of punches inside Attonito's guard before referee Josh Rosenthal stops the contest at 1:10 of the round.

John Cholish (8-1) vs. Mitch Clarke (9-1)
Round 1
Cholish finds success with his strikes early, landing several effective counters. Clarke wraps his arms around the body of the John Danaher-trained BJJ specialist, who rolls for a kneebar and ends up on top. Cholish is now hammering away with short elbows in Clarke's guard. He separates and they return to their feet with Cholish landing the most significant strikes.

They scramble and Cholish tries to sink in a kimura, spinning him around and taking his back. From the back-mount position, Cholish reigns down punches, causing referee John McCarthy to step in at 4:36 of the round.
