Shawn Jordan puts Jack May away with ground-and-pound attack

Just when it appeared as if Shawn Jordan was in trouble on his feet against Jack May, the former LSU football player altered his game plan and ended up finishing the fight in the third round.
Jordan may be one of the heaviest handed fighters in the UFC heavyweight division, but he's also one of shortest, which did not benefit him against the 6-8 May.
May clipped Jordan with a looping left hook in the second round that opened a nasty gash, which started to immediately bleed profusely down Jordan's face and body as he struggled to wipe the crimson from his face. With the striking game working against him, Jordan opted to take May to the ground, and he quickly proved he had a huge advantage on the mat.
Following a back-and-forth second round, Jordan came out in the third and immediately put May down and started to open up his ground-and-pound, looking for the finish. Jordan took the mount and hammered down with fists until May could only roll and absorb the punishment.
The referee saw enough and handed Jordan the TKO in the third round, handing the heavyweight fighter a much-needed win following two straight losses.
