MacDonald and Lawler interview

Welterweights will war as the next generation Rory “Ares” MacDonald collides with veteran heavy-hitter “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler at UFC 167. In these pre-fight interviews it is a case of new school confidence vs. old school swagger as the 15-1 MacDonald looks to outclass Lawler, while “Ruthless” aims to add “Ares’” head to his already impressive string of 18 KO/TKOs.
“I’m really not too worried against anybody in the division,” tells MacDonald. “I can beat Robbie anywhere. Striking, wrestling, in jiu-jitsu, ground striking. People should expect an exciting fight. A dominating performance. I’m better than Robbie and it’s going to show fight night.”
MacDonald is riding a 5 fight win streak since losing his only fight 3 years ago, but Lawler has returned to the Octagon with a vengeance with back-to-back KO/TKOs in 2013 and “Ruthless” is targeting to do what he does best with another power punching performance.
“I knock people out,” asserts Lawler. “Rory likes to fight wherever he thinks he’s going to be the boss. I definitely don’t want him to feel comfortable out there; I want to be the one in charge. It’s not really about him, it’s about me.”
