Henry Cejudo puts on golden performance over Chris Cariaso

Olympic wrestling gold medalist Henry Cejudo sent a message to the flyweight division on Saturday night that he has officially arrived as he put on a clinic against former title contender Chris Cariaso at UFC 185 in Dallas.

Cejudo failed to make weight for his first UFC fight and was forced to go up to 135 pounds for his second, but following a win he was allowed to try again and he passed with flying colors -- both at the weigh-ins and then again 24 hours later in the Octagon.

Time and time again, Cejudo put Cariaso on the mat with his wrestling, using a mix of trips and single leg takedowns to take the fight to the ground with little to no effort almost every time he tried.

Cejudo doubled up on takedowns in both rounds 1 and 2 before finally putting Cariaso on the mat with ease in the final round and just mauling the top 10 flyweight from one side of the cage to the other.

The judges returned a unanimous decision with 30-27 scores across the board for Cejudo. Despite the dominance, Cejudo said he still didn't believe he did enough to truly show his dominance and put on an exciting fight for the fans.

"I give myself a 'D' for this one. I give myself very high standards," Cejudo said.  "I want to make that fight bonus, so I apologize. I'm ready if you want to give me a top five (fighter) next. I'm here to win gold in the UFC."

Cejudo moves to 2-0 inside the Octagon and 8-0 overall in his career and immediately becomes a player in the rankings at 125 pounds in the UFC.
