The UFC will be heading back to São Paul, Brazil on November 19 for a UFC Fight Night event.  It was first reported by Combate.com that the UFC is in the works to set up former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustafsson to fight UFC veteran Antônio Rogério ‘Lil Nog’ Nogueira  for the main event.

This event will be taking place at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera  in Brazil and will be the first time the UFC will hold an event in São Paulo since November 2015 when Vitor Belfort defeated Dan Henderson.

Alexander Gustafsson is coming off of an impressive win over Jan Błachowicz at UFC Fight Night Hamburg, Germany.  Gustafsson came into the fight with Błachowicz having suffered back to back losses to the top two fighters in the light heavyweight division.  He was able to win the fight via unanimous decision and in turn, regain his momentum in the division.  Despite a 1-2 record in his last three fights, Gustafsson is currently ranked third in the UFC light heavyweight division.

During his post fight interview, Gustafsson stated that he is looking to improve his game all around and make another run at the title.

Antônio Rogério Nogueira (22-7) is a longtime staple in the UFC light heavyweight division.  He has fought some of the best the UFC has to offer.  He is also coming off of a win after suffering two straight losses.  He most recently claimed a victory over Pat Cummings at UFC 198, where he won via TKO in the first round.  The Brazilain, Nogueira is currently ranked ninth in the division and could move up immensely with a win over Gustafsson. Nogueira is a third-degree Brazilain Jiu-Jitsu black belt and could potentially dominate Gustafsson on the ground.

Although this fight is not official, this match up is one that should please the Braziilain fans.  The rest of the fight card has also yet to be announced.
