Redfoo loses US Open qualifier

LMFAO frontman Redfoo takes tennis seriously, and earlier this week, the “Sorry for Party Rocking” singer took to the court in an attempt to qualify for the US Open.

Redfoo, the 37-year-old boyfriend of women's tennis star Victoria Azarenka, played against 19-year-old Scott Gray on Wednesday at a Northern California sectional qualifying tournament in Salinas, Calif.

Gray beat Redfoo — whose real name is Stefan Gordy — by a score of 6-1, 6-2. Early on, Redfoo had some troubles with his sneakers, but those later were fixed after he swapped shoes with a fan.

On Thursday, the 37-year-old Redfoo followed up his singles defeat with a 6-3, 7-6 [4] loss in doubles play alongside University of Georgia freshman tennis player Ayaka Okuno, whom he coaches.

Better luck next year for Mr. ‘Foo, who can still claim to be sexy (and he knows it). In the meantime, relive a Redfoo rally with Serena Williams during an event at Madison Square Garden:
