Third-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska needed more than an hour to capture the second set of her 6-0, 7-5 victory over Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor in the second round of the U.S. Open on Wednesday.
Radwanska rolled through the first set in 21 minutes, dropping only seven points. It took her 1 hour, 6 minutes to win the second set against her 103rd-ranked opponent from Spain.
Radwanska, the Wimbledon runner-up last year and a semifinalist at the All England Club this year, has never made it past the fourth round in seven previous appearances at Flushing Meadows.
She finished with only 10 unforced errors, compared to 38 for her opponent.
