BASTAD, Sweden (AP) Third-seeded Albert Ramos-Vinolas reached his second semifinals of the year and prevented Andrea Arnaboldi from his first career semis in a 5-7, 7-5, 6-0 win at the Swedish Open on Friday.

The Spaniard, still seeking his first ATP title, next faces countryman and top seed David Ferrer, who beat Dustin Brown of Germany 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 a fourth straight time.

Another Spaniard, fifth-seeded Fernando Verdasco, eased past Facundo Bagnis of Argentina 6-2, 6-1.

Verdasco, the 2013 runner-up, was upbeat.

''It's great for me to be in the semifinals here again,'' Verdasco said. ''I'm feeling pretty good. I've been playing better and better every day.''

He will meet first-time ATP semifinalist Gastao Elias, who defeated second-seeded Joao Sousa 6-2, 6-2 for the first time on tour in an all-Portuguese quarterfinal. Elias broke Sousa five times.
