Zinedine Zidane is calling up another one of his sons to the Real Madrid first team
Earlier this summer, Zinedine Zidane called up his son Enzo to play in a preseason friendly Real Madrid played against Paris Saint-Germain. Now another of Zidane's sons will get a look because Luca is being named to Real Madrid's team for the UEFA Super Cup.
Zidane isn't playing favorites here. Enzo is a 21-year-old who played well for the reserve team a year ago so him playing in the preseason makes sense. Even Luca, who is only 18 years old and further from being a full-fledged first division professional, is only getting a look because Keylor Navas is injured so Real Madrid need a backup for Kiko Casilla.
Still, it's pretty incredible to see Zidane getting the chance to manage two of his sons, even if it's just friendlies. After all, this is Real Madrid, not some pub team.
Also, we all have vivid memories of Zidane the world class player. To see his sons now playing professionally, well, it's confirmation that we're all old.
